A derelict wine bar/pub was re-claimed and turned into a music 'jazz library' to serve the local community and surrounding areas.
An L-shaped bookend props up two sides of the building providing services and a fire escape. This forms part of the principle architectural intervention.
Twelve pod-shaped listening booths are elevated out on the first and second floors. A blade-like structure provides lighting to the pods, the main building and the front of the building — linking the architectural addition to the existing structure.
The public green at the back of the site has also been reclaimed, hosting live performances in the summer.
