A website for musician Technicien. The client was keen to convey notions of the sea and industry from his attachment to the port of his home city and the role that world has played in his music.

After creative discussions with the client, the core aesthetic idea became to emulate a view of shipping containers at sea and to display the website content on their ends.
The content was structured on a large grid containing each shipping container, images of which I edited in Photoshop to fit into a seamless stack.

03 / Development
The main technical challenge was to prevent smaller devices from crashing under such a image-heavy site. This was achieved by not loading images outside of the viewport.
